DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Denver, it is an easy drive through the mountains
to Aspen, and there are stunning views along the way.

During the summer, when Independence Pass
is open, travel on I-70 west to Highway 92. Take
92 south toward Leadville which will turn into Highway
24. Continue through Leadville to scenic Highway
82 west, which crosses the Continental Divide and
drops into Aspen. Note: this dramatic, two-lane
drive, which switchbacks through the Rocky Mountains,
may not be advisable for folks who are afraid of
heights.
Alternately, and during the winter months,
you may exit I-70 at Glenwood Springs and head east
on Highway 82. Aspen is 40 miles along Highway
82 from Glenwood.

From Eagle/Vail, take I-70 west to Glenwood Springs.
Exit onto Highway 82 and head east 40 miles to Aspen.

From Grand Junction, take I-70 east to Glenwood
Springs, exiting onto Highway 82. Aspen is 40 miles east
on Highway 82 from Glenwood.
